BY JOHN FLEMINGTimes Performing Arts CriticNumerous pianists have been the soloist for Rhapsody in Blue with the Florida Orchestra Michael Kim, Jeffrey Siegel and Norman Krieger in the past 15 years or so. Now the orchestra will get a chance this weekend to play the iconic work with the man who composed it and was the soloist in the 1924 premiere, George Gershwin.

Danny Gokey’s back, performing My Best Days Are Ahead of Me. It’s good to see him on this stage singing a song that he’s intimately familiar with, that’s perfectly suited for him. It’s a good, solid performance, and I’ve got to think his fans that haven’t really heard this song will be pleased to hear it.

March 01, 2010 FORSYTH COUNTY - South Forsyth High School and West Forsyth High School were named to the 2010 Advanced Placement Honor Schools roster, which recognized those schools whose students did exceptionally well on the 2009 AP exams. Statewide, only 125 public schools made the grade.
